About
The Baltic Olympiad in Informatics (BOI) is an annual programming competition for secondary school students. First held in 1995 in Tartu, Estonia, the contest initially brought together three countries. Since then, BOI has grown into a well-established event with participation from countries across the Baltic and Nordic regions and beyond.
Contestants solve algorithmic problems individually over two competition days. The problems test skills in algorithm design, data structures, and problem solving.
The 33rd BOI will be hosted in Bergen, Norway in 2027, organized by Norsk informatikkolympiade (NIO).
